Nerve Root Irritation Treatments In Leeds

We offer treatments for nerve root irritation in our 5 clinics in Leeds, Harrogate, Guiseley and Ilkley. 85% of people will suffer from this at some stage in their life and occurs when the spine becomes trapped in the upper part of the back or neck. This can result in severe pain or discomfort which we can help remove.

Exercises can help to reduce the pressure at the root of the neck which will help free the nerves that have become trapped, whilst also helping to stabilise the spine.
It’s not uncommon for the neck to become inflamed and you may need injections of Epidural steroids or to reduce the swelling, which will help to reduce the pain caused by the trapped nerves.
In other treatments that don’t involve injections, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications can be used. These will help to reduce the swelling and in turn, reduce the pain you are suffering from.

Wryneck (torticollis) is a painful twisting and tilting of the neck. It’s not uncommon for people who suffer from wry neck to have their head tilt to one side & the chin to tilt to the other side.
